MotoGP champion Nicky Hayden sadly passes. News that shocked and left a mark on all Motorcyclists lives.
Nicky Hayden, Born July 30th, 1981, sadly lost his battle on May 22nd, 2017. A true lover to the motorcycle industry, nicknamed ‘The Kentucky Kid’. Started his career on Dirt Tracks before changing to the Tarmac Tracks. Since he came from a family that all loved to race motorcycles, it was no surprise he became a motorcyclist champion. With two brothers that are racers; two sisters that use to race when younger and a father that raced too. A family also is known as ‘The Dirt Track Family’ took their passion and raced together. At the home of Nicky, it had a private track built, therefore, the Dirt Track Family were able to enjoy the sport together from being a young age.

Nicky Hayden won the AMA Superbike Champion title in 2002, onboard a privater Honda. Impressed by his skills, it is then Nicky was approached by Repsol Honda Team, wanting him to join their team to race for them in MotoGP.
MotoGP racing world championship Grand Prix. Premier motorcycle road racing held since 1949. Using purpose-built racing machines, not available to purchase by the general public. Nor able to be ridden legally on any public road.
The race that Repsol Honda Team asked Nicky to join, actually paid off. As in 2006, Nicky Hayden won the MotoGP world championship title. Beating 2005, champion Valentino Rossi, who won his fifth consecutive MotoGP title.
Nicky Hayden life was Motorcycle Racing, loved what he did. The Motorcycle industry lost a great soul the day he passed. There are so many races Nicky took part in, and he will always be remembered for each, and every one of them.
